Clearly, this is impossible. It is, however, realistic that a visiting forensic anthropologist would be consulted and be working on more than one case at a time. It bugs me probably more than it should but hearing her refer to him as Ryan was confusing because I started to think his name was Ryan for a while, forgetting about the whole Andrew bit. The corpse is later identified as John Lowery. This was a short book that lacked the suspense that has kept me awake way past bed time with Reichs past books.

She adds a little in a short article following the story, and I think most of what was included in the novel would better have been in a forward, to be read by anyone who chose to do so.

Somewhere along the line, Reichs fails to achieve this. There was never a point where I couldn’t put it down or was on the edge of my seat, worried about what would happen next.
